Zapier Action data

muster zapier integration actions

At a minimum, when you create a new contact, you will need to include the following fields:

  • Email

  • First name

  • Last name

Here are the other fields that can be added:

  • Prefix

  • Phone number

  • Street address

    • Add the contact’s street address only

    • OR the full, one-line address, and skip the other fields if that’s how your data is structured

  • City

  • State

  • Zip code

  • Email opt-in

    • This will default to False unless you can explicitly affirm that this person opted in to hear from you via email[1]

  • Text (SMS) opt-in

    • This will default to False unless you can explicitly affirm that this person opted in to hear from you via text messaging[1]

  • External ID

    • OPTIONAL: This is a unique ID that you can use for matching existing contacts before adding a new one.

Zapier Trigger data

There are two triggers available using Muster's Zapier integration.

muster zapier integration triggers
  1. Advocacy Action

  2. New Signup

You can use one or both. If a new advocate takes action, that would constitute a signup event AND an action taken event; in this case the signup event is triggered first followed by the action taken event.

New contact signup trigger

The data for the new signup Trigger includes the above fields plus:

  • Contact ID

    • the Contact’s unique Muster ID, which is a string in the format of a UUID, e.g. 469ea991-67a5-401f-8583-410fe3499e4b.

  • Source

    • A string indicating whether they signed up via a signup form (signup_form) or an action center (action_center)

  • Is advocate

    • A boolean or Yes/No value indicating whether they have taken action or not. Technically, this duplicates the information provided in Source, but as a field, it is easier to use for creating filters in Zapier

Action taken trigger

All of the above fields, plus:

  • Action center name

  • Campaign name

  • Action center ID (a UUID, e.g., 80300531-3e70-4653-96cf-ec8950ea77cf)

  • Campaign ID (a UUID value, e.g. 6b47c122-60ae-4f38-8275-45e47f8d0a52)

  • Action method (email or phone)

Notes

[1]: By marking these fields as "true" you affirm that the contact has explicitly expressed their consent to receive further communications from the specific customer organization using the checked communication channel

[2]: Zaps DO NOT include custom fields
